I picked it up a few months ago when it was on sale but haven't played much of it. As a matter of fact, its on sale right now on Steam for $10!For those who don't know what it is, its an Out of the Park Baseball-syle text-based simulation where you take over every aspect of a college football team (recruiting, calling plays, managing a budget, building schedule, etc.) and try to build up your program. It's a way more in-depth version of Dynasty Mode on the NCAA games without the actual gameplay.Just wanted to see if anyone else has played it and what they thought.Link to game:. It has all of the updated conferences but the rosters are just randomized names. Also, they weren't able to use the names of any private schools so instead of it being Notre Dame Fighting Irish, it will be something like South Bend Leprechauns. Some other schools nicknames are messed up too but you can manually change any of them during setup so I just went through and edited those schools.
Didn't take too long and was definitely worth it in my opinion.I haven't played too much of it yet so I don't have many thoughts yet. Been busy with school and work so I haven't had the chance to get into it. Hoping I'll be able to try it out for a bit over the holidays though. It is deeper than NCAA Football 14. It is more of a challenge. I've tried rebuilding as Idaho before but couldn't do better than 5-7 after 4 years. In NCAA Football 14 you'd be a national champion by them.
It is outdated and buggy at times though. If you want to run an air raid offense, it will be more difficult. There are only 3 run plays to run in shotgun formation.
I haven't played Draft Day Sports College Football but the general reviews online seem to lean towards Bowl Bound College Football. The recruiting is more in-depth than NCAA Football 14. Bowl Bound is a lot more in-depth. You have to manage budget, academics, bigger depth chart, special teams coach, more in-depth player training, weekly recruit visits, schemes. From what I can tell, one of the major benefits of Bowl Bound compared to Draft Day Sports is the ability to leave for other head coaching jobs, rise up the ranks.
